Loving our neighbors by supporting the local food pantry.  

Administered by a coalition of local churches of all denominations with a volunteer staff.  A Child Shall Lead Them food pantry was founded after a mission trip to New York City inspired teenage disciples from Tazewell Christian Church to serve the poor and hungry right here at home.

      Local son Ben graduated with his BA in Religious Studies this year, and is already called to his first ministry, with CRU, working with young adult students attending JMU.   Ben recently spoke to the adult Sunday School class about CRU's mission.   Would you like to contribute to sustain and support Ben in this important ministry?  Contact us.

Shipping care packages to a soldier serving overseas.

Tommy Bachman is our Army hero recently deployed to Afghanistan. Tommy is married to Rosanna, daughter of choir director David Morrison. Tommy and Rosanna have 3 sons: Devon, Peyton, and Gavin.  *** We are happy to announce that Tommy completed his tour of duty and returned safely home in January, 2014.
